Course description

Welcome to the Doodly for Whiteboard Videos Course.

Learners will explore Doodly core tools and features, including whiteboard canvas setup, hand-drawn animation effects, pre-built illustration libraries, timeline and scene management, text and callout integration, voiceover and audio synchronization, and export options. The course emphasizes applying these features in real projects, guiding learners to storyboard, animate, and finalize a complete explainer video from start to finish.

Software Access

The Practice session requires you to set up a free demo account for the Doodly software. A guide on how to do this is provided in the Practice window with step-by-step instructions.

Pre-requisite

  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with web-based applications.

  • Understanding of storytelling or communication principles is helpful but optional.

  • Optional: Access to images, icons, or audio files to use in practice projects (sample media will also be provided).

    How does the course work?

    The course combines guided video lessons with hands-on practice. You will spend approximately 12 hours learning and 12 hours applying what you learn through practical exercises and a project.

    When can I start, and is the schedule flexible?

    You can start when it suits you and choose how to distribute your study time. We recommend 3 hours a day for 8 days, but you can use a different schedule as long as you complete the course within the 30-day access period.

    What happens if I don't finish within 30 days?

    Your video access expires after 30 days. If you need more time, you can enrol again to continue your training with a new access period.

    Do I need to own the software?

    Not necessarily. You can use your own licensed software or an available trial or demo version. Where complimentary software access is provided, we may provide temporary access to SaaS software or a virtual machine for standalone software, depending on the course.

    What do I receive when I complete the course?

    You will complete practical project work and receive a THREEinEIGHT certificate or badge upon meeting the course completion requirements. Your completed project can also be used as evidence of your practical skills and added to your portfolio.
